Street Laced is all about our community and doing whatever we can to assist in making the Tampa Bay area a better place to live, work and play! Street Laced’s own Vice President, Greg Wolf, has been tapped to host “A Night In The Roarrring 20’s”; a fundraiser for the Friends of Strays Animal Shelter happening on Saturday, October 1st at the Mirror Lake Lyceum in St. Petersburg, Florida. Friends of Strays mission is to help abandoned animals in Pinellas County and beyond find forever homes. They have been rescuing homeless cats & dogs for over 25 years and are a no-kill shelter who seeks to not only rescue homeless animals but also educate the public on animal care & welfare. Although they are one of the smaller shelters in the area, they adopted out over 500 animals in 2015, which means over 500 animals saved in Pinellas county!

The event is sure to be one for the books as it is a formal evening event. The soiree is themed after the lavish & over the top Gatsby parties of the 1920’s. The Lyceum was a great choice for the event location as it is a historical building from the 1920’s in downtown St. Petersburg. The theme colors for the night are black & gold and there’s sure to be lots of pearls & feathers! Guests are encouraged to dress in 1920’s apparel, but if not, cocktail dress is required.

The first hour of the event will showcase of some of the adoptable animals with the goal being to have each and every one of them find a forever home before nights end! There will be a cash bar with a signature drink as well as food stations, silent auction and a LIVE auction. The event will also host a 50/50 raffle and will be handled by “cigarette girls” who will be dressed in classic cigarette girl attire and of course, big band style music throughout the evening keeping with the the 1920’s motif. It is truly going to be a remarkable event!
