The 2023 NCAA Division 1 Women’s Lacrosse Championship took place in Cary, North Carolina last weekend with an action packed lineup that included some of the very best women’s lacrosse players in the Nation! #1 seeded Northwestern battled #5 seeded Denver on Friday, while #3 seeded Boston College clashed with #2 seeded Syracuse!
The action for Denver vs. Northwestern started out neck-and-neck for the first quarter and half before Northwestern blew the roof off in the second half to cruise back to the National Championship game. The second match of the semifinals pitched #2 Syracuse vs. #3 BC in what was an EPIC battle that literally came fown to the final minutes of the match, with BC upsetting the Orange and locking them in a battle for the Championship with the Wildcats.
Greg Wolf, Vice President of Street Laced, was selected by the NCAA host committee to be the Master of Ceremonies for this years tournament and as always, did an exceptional job keeping all fans fired up and engaged with the festivities, conducting on-field contests, in-stands promotions & giveaways and so much more!
The Championship on Sunday was a wet and cool one, even for late May, with temps only getting into the low 60’s, but the show had to go on, rain or shine! The Northwestern Wildcats once again showed and proved why they are the best team in the nation as they crushed the Eagles to secure their first title since 2012!
