Street Laced in conjunction with Kings of Merch have officially launched TampaBayBands.com, a website dedicated to assisting local Tampa Bay area bands with selling merchandise, at no cost to them. We know, seems almost too good to be true, but it’s 100% legit and bands here in Tampa have already jumped aboard and have seen the results for themselves. The concept is based upon the “printing on demand” model. Bands no longer have to shell out hundreds of dollars on pre-purchasing t-shirts and hats, for example, to sell at their shows with the hopes of turning a profit after they recoup the fronted monies to stock up. The “printing on demand” model is simple. When an item sells on their own e-commerce site (which we also handle for them), it’s digitally printed within 24 hours and out the door within 48 hours. Bands literally do not have to do anything. They sit back and collect residuals once their products sell. We have removed any fulfillment needs on their behalf and allow them to focus on pushing their e-commerce store to their fans, friends, family, etc.

Each band gets six core items to sell on their store. A Men’s T-Shirt, Ladies T-Shirt, Long Sleeve T, Zip-Up Hoodie, Flex Fit and/or Snapback Hat and a Beanie. These are the most sold items when it comes to band merchandising, so the base is pretty standard.  Once the band hits certain sales goals, they get to add more items to their store to offer to fans. Jerseys, Yeti-style bottles, winter hoodies, etc. There are incentives for them to push their products and market themselves. Bands get paid out quarterly, or they can take the funds they accumulate and invest into a tour merchandise order, if they have shows where they want to sell on-site. This also allows for the bands to make more money at those shows as they get 100% of the proceeds from those sales.

Not only are we assisting these Bay area bands with this great oppotunity, but we are also giving back to our community at the same time by donating $1 from all sales to the Tampa Bay charity, Instruments of Change. Instruments of Change is a 501(c)3 Public Charity whose primary mission is to profoundly impact the lives of disadvantaged children through the gifts of musical instrument donation, instruction and performance. They accomplish that mission by seeking out new and gently used musical instruments that are not being played and place them with children whose parents do not have the means to purchase an instrument of their own. This is a perfect fit for our project and we are thrilled to be partnering with them on this venture.

We are expecting big things to develop in the coming months, having already secured some of Tampa Bay’s most popular bands and look forward to giving back to our own community!
